Voted “Best Rowing Town - 1999” by The Independent Rowing News, the Sacramento area can also boast in having arguably the best aquatics facility in North America! Located on majestic Lake Natoma, 20 miles from downtown Sacramento, the CSUS Aquatic Center has hosted top-notch events such as the PAC 10 Rowing Championships, the NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships, and the U.S. Canoe/Kayak World Team Trials. The year 2001 saw the Aquatic Center host the U.S. Canoe/Kayak Spring National Championships, and the USACK Kayak Water Polo National Championship, as well as the Pacific Coast/Pac 10 Rowing Championships, and the California High School Rowing Championships.

Folsom High School

The Folsom High School theater opened in January 2004 and is the community's first of this type. The theater is a teaching performing arts center featuring sloped seating for 692 and professional amenities such as a catwalk, permanent orchestra pit, control booth, full fly above the stage for props and computer-controlled lighting. The ceiling is dominated by large acoustical panels tiled at various angles.

Folsom High School stadium opened September 2003. The state of the art facility has a synthetic turf field for football and soccer and is surrounded by a 10-lane all-weather track. A fieldhouse equipped with locker rooms and storage facilities will soon be added.

Cordova High School

Cordova High School has a newly renovated state of the art stadium. Improvements include a new eight foot high fence all around the stadium, new bleachers and seating, new goal posts, and replacement of the all-weather track including new curbing and widening of the lanes for reconfiguration to a 400 meter track.

AMERICAN RIVER COLLEGE

Land Park, est. 1926, continues to be an exciting destination for Sacramentans and those living in the greater area.
